Accessibility statement

The Universitat Politècnica de València is committed to making its websites accessible, in accordance with Law 11/2023, of 8 May, on the transposition of European Union Directives on the accessibility requirements for certain products and services, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 17 April 2019, on the accessibility requirements for products and services. This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.upv.es excluding embedded content from other domains.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with Law 11/2023 due to the exceptions and the lack of compliance with the aspects indicated below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a) Lack of compliance with Law 11/2023:

c) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation:
- There may be prerecorded files, office files in PDF or other formats published before 28 June 2025 that do not fully meet all accessibility requirements.
- There may be third-party content that is not developed by the Universitat Politècnica de València, nor under its control, such as office files corresponding to calls for applications from different bodies that must be published on this site.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 21 January 2021.

The method used to prepare the statement was a self-assessment, together with a manual evaluation carried out by the Instituto Tecnológico de Informática (ITI).

Last review of the statement: January 2025.

From that date onwards, partial reviews of new or modified web content are carried out, both of the templates and of the final pages and documents published, in order to ensure compliance with the accessibility requirements of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard.

Enforcement procedure

the period of twenty working days has elapsed.

Commitment to accessibility

The accessibility of the portal has been taken into account as a whole in the process of designing, managing, maintaining and updating content.

In addition, continuous auditing and reviewing of content is carried out in order to make it easier to understand and to improve navigation through the web portal.

Standards and regulations

This website applies the requirements of the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard, taking into account the exceptions of Law 11/2023.

Technical features

Among others, the following measures have been adopted:

The language used, the structure of the contents and the contextual information are simple, consistent and easily understandable for people.
The use of pop-up windows is avoided.
The use of moving graphics and flashes is avoided and, in situations where their use is essential, the necessary functionalities are provided to be able to stop the movement.
Forms have the attributes that facilitate accessibility.
Text size: the accessible design of this website allows users to choose the text size that suits them. This can be done in different ways:
- using the keyboard shortcuts defined in browsers; in particular, the key combination CTRL and + to increase the text size, and CTRL and - to reduce it, is common to most browsers.
