Introduction

The Master's Degree in Informatics Engineering is professionally oriented. It aims to train highly-qualified professionals who are capable of performing strongly in the profession of computer engineering. It offers students advanced training to develop aspects of leadership and management for technology companies and computer projects, thus furthering their learning in technological aspects and introducing them to various areas related to computer engineering.

It promotes the students'; professional development through the completion of master's theses in technology companies, seminars taught by industry professionals, the promotion of entrepreneurship, and the development of skills associated with their profession, such as leadership, teamwork and communication skills.

Aims

The curriculum of the Master's Degree follows the recommendations made in the Ministerial Order published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) of 4 August 2009, establishing the requirements for verifying university degrees that qualify people to work in the profession of computer engineering.

The main aim of this Master's Degree programme is to train professionals who are capable of planning and designing products, processes and systems in all areas of computer engineering; capable also of planning, managing, coordinating and developing projects in companies and technology centres, in innovative environments and multidisciplinary settings, always applying the principles of ethical responsibility, legislation and professional ethics.

Acceptance criteria

The Master's Degree is specifically aimed at graduates with a Bachelor's Degree in Informatics Engineering. The Master's Degree will also be open to other graduate students who are able to show that they have the skills associated with technical computer engineering, as set forth in the Ministerial Order published in the BOE of 4 August 2009. Holders of other similar degrees will be able to access the Master's Degree after completing the specified additional training.
