Introduction

The School of Design Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de València presents the first Master's Degree in Design Engineering within the framework of the European Higher Education Area according to Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, which establishes the organisation of official university education..

This master's degree is aimed at training university postgraduates interested in obtaining a high level of specialisation and skills in processes and tools that promote innovation, improvement and creativity in the resolution of projects on different scales and for different types of product.

The different subjects offered in this master's degree constitute an indispensable conceptual and instrumental update for design in the face of the challenges posed by society, the environment and the demands of contemporary business.

On the left are the projects developed in the master's degree programme. The first of these corresponds to the Coe Ted project, winner of the ETSID first prize for Inclusive Design 2010.

Objectives

The objectives of the master's degree are focused on training postgraduates and researchers specialising in the following areas: design and innovation, new product management, updating of market analysis techniques, decision-making, rapid product development and optimisation of corporate communication techniques of companies.

Graduates of Technical Engineering in Industrial Design, Industrial Technical Engineering and second-cycle graduates of related subjects

Admission criteria

The evaluation of the academic record, the affinity of the degree and the Curriculum Vitae will be taken into account. Candidates may be interviewed in person at the discretion of the Master's Academic Committee.
