The food industry is the industrial sector that contributes most to gross domestic product in Spain. The success of these industries requires proper leadership and management, not only from the point of view of economic and financial aspects, but also from those related to the quality and safety of production processes and foodstuffs.
The recent food scares have raised public concern and the demand for safety from producers, who in turn are asked to supply a variety of foods that are easy to buy and prepare, healthy and with a long shelf life.
This master's degree course aims to train specialists who are able to optimise and innovate processes and products, to analyse, evaluate and manage food risks, to evaluate, control and manage, using the most advanced methods, quality and safety in the food industry, to provide scientific and technological advice to the food industry and related industries, as well as to consumers, and to manage a food industry, also considering the management of economic aspects.
