To guarantee the right of all students to study at our university, the Spanish Ministry, the Regional Ministry responsible for education, and the Universitat Politècnica de València offer different scholarships and grants.
General scholarships for students pursuing post-compulsory studies valid throughout the national territory.
To be eligible for these grants, you must meet the basic requirements, as well as the income and wealth thresholds. You must also meet the academic requirements established in the call for applications.
The grant will consist of exemption from payment of fees for the provision of university academic services (registration fees), corresponding to subjects registered for the first time. Other fixed and variable amounts may also be obtained if the requirements for this purpose are met.
The application must be completed online through the Ministry's electronic Site.
The Regional Ministry responsible for university studies announces grants for university studies in the universities of the Valencian Community.
To obtain this grant, it is necessary to accredit administrative residence in the Comunitat Valenciana and not exceed the income thresholds established by the call for applications, as well as meet the general and academic requirements.
The scholarship consists of exemption from the payment of fees for university academic services (registration fees) for subjects enrolled in the first and second registration.
The application and the necessary documentation must be submitted online through the application on the Conselleria's website. A digital certificate is required.
The Regional Ministry also announces other grants that can be consulted on the website of the Student Services and on the website of the Regional Ministry itself.
The UPV offers various scholarships and grants:
Social Action Grants "UPV Students"
It is aimed at students who can prove a personal or family situation of particular financial need and do not benefit from other grants or study aids.
These grants include the exemption of the fees for academic services (amount of the enrolled credits), up to a maximum of 900€, both for first and second enrolment.
The application is submitted through each student's intranet.
Social Action Grants for unforeseen circumstances
This call for applications is intended to respond to exceptionally serious situations occurring during the academic year, in the family unit or to the applicant itself, which cause serious financial damage that may make it difficult for the applicant to continue their studies.
The application can be downloaded from the Grants Unit's microweb. It must be submitted at any of the UPV Registry Offices, through the UPV Electronic Site, or through the Common Electronic Registry of the State Administration, as well as by any of the means established in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of the Public Administrations.
These grants cover the daily menu. Students are given canteen vouchers that they can use in the UPV cafeterias.
Students who meet the general, economic and academic requirements can be beneficiaries of the grants.

- Collaboration training scholarships (type A). The purpose of these scholarships is to train the scholarship holder by carrying out activities closely related to the student's studies.
In exchange for financial payment, grant holders must carry out a series of activities in a department, centre, institute or service.
The calls for applications are published throughout the school year and establish the objectives and activities to be carried out, the merits to be assessed, the weekly dedication, etc.
- Grants for Elite Sportsmen and Sportswomen, Sports grants for Excellence, and Sports grants for Residence.
