Scholarships and grants
In order to guarantee the right of all students to pursue university studies, the Ministry and the Regional Government responsible for education, and the Universitat Politècnica de València itself announce different scholarships and grants.
Ministry
General scholarships for students pursuing post-compulsory studies valid throughout the national territory. To be a beneficiary of these scholarships, it will be necessary to meet the basic requirements, as well as the income and assets thresholds.
The scholarship will consist of exemption from payment of the fees for the provision of university academic services (registration fees), corresponding to subjects enrolled for the first time.
The application is completed electronically through the Ministry's electronic office.
Valencian Government
The Regional Department responsible for university studies announces scholarships for university studies at universities in the Valencian Community.
To be awarded the scholarship, it is necessary to prove administrative residence in the Valencian Community and not exceed the income thresholds established by the call.
The scholarship consists of exemption from payment of fees for the provision of university academic services (tuition fees), for subjects enrolled in first and second enrollment.
The application and necessary documentation are submitted electronically through the Regional Department's web application. It is necessary to have a digital certificate.
The Regional Department also announces other grants that can be consulted on the Student Services website and on the Regional Department's own website.
Universitat Politècnica de València
Social Action Grants "UPV Students"
Aimed at students who prove a personal or family situation of special economic need and do not receive other scholarships or study grants.
These grants include exemption from the amount of fees for academic services (amount of enrolled credits), up to a maximum of €900, for both first and second enrollment.
The application is submitted through each student's intranet.
Social Action Grants for unforeseen circumstances
This call is intended to respond to unforeseen situations of exceptional severity that occurred during the academic year, in the family unit or in the applicant himself, causing serious economic damage that may make it difficult for the applicant to continue his studies.
The application can be downloaded from the Scholarships Unit microweb, and must be submitted at any of the UPV Registry offices, through the UPV Electronic Office, or through the Common Electronic Registry of the State Administration.
Cafeteria grants
These grants cover the menu of the day. Cafeteria vouchers are awarded so that students can use them in the UPV cafeterias.
Students who meet the general, economic and academic requirements may be beneficiaries of the grants.
The application is submitted through each student's intranet.
Other scholarships
Training collaboration scholarships (type A). Their purpose is the training of the scholarship holder through the performance of activities that are closely related to the studies that the student is pursuing.
In exchange for a financial amount, the scholarship holders must develop a series of activities in a department, center, institute or service.
The calls are published throughout the school year and establish the objectives and activities to be developed, the merits to be assessed, the weekly dedication, etc.
Grants for Elite Athletes, Sports Excellence Grants, and Sports Residence Grants.
Applications for these calls are found in the same document of the call, and are submitted through the UPV Registry offices, through the Common Electronic Registry of the State Administration, or by any of the means established in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015.
