The Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (hereinafter MUICCP) qualifies students to practice the profession of Civil Engineer, while the Master's Degree in Civil Engineering Planning and Management (hereinafter MUPGIC) is oriented towards the field of construction management, not only from a professional point of view, but also from a scientific one. However, both master's degrees have multiple overlaps with each other.

Consequently, the double degree allows the acquisition of the competences of both master's degrees through an integrated academic pathway. All of this at a lower time and financial cost than the cost of obtaining both masters individually. Thus, a MUICCP student, instead of taking the 120 ECTS of the MUICCP and the 90 ECTS of the MUPGIC, only takes a total of 174 ECTS, representing a saving of 36 ECTS and approximately one academic semester. Although the proposal is offered in the MUICCP> MAPGIC direction, meaning that the non professional Master’s Degree (MAPGIC) represents , for the student, an extensión of the specialization in construction management, in respect to the acquired in the professional Master’s Degree (MUICCP).
